Daihen Corporation Visit

We visited the Daihen Rokko Plant with members of KimiLab, and we were able to see a production line where automated transport robots transport and replenish parts and robots assemble other robots, as well as demonstrations of the latest collaborative robots and welding robots. We were particularly impressed by the large robot arm that can lift 300 kg and the flashy robot arm in cherry blossom pink, the team color of the soccer team Cerezo Osaka, operating in the plant. Afterward, we moved to the headquarters in Juso, where we had a meaningful time interacting with the engineers, including alumni of our university. I think it’s a great work environment for engineering-minded students who are interested in automation.
